Steve Zelows (12/18 graduate) grew up in Central NY roughly a half hour from the vast wilderness of the Adirondack State Park where, thanks to the Boy Scouts of America, he got to spend endless summer days paddling, backpacking, and guiding throughout the region. “Coming to Garrett College and the Adventure Sports program was a life changing experience.  It took my passion for nature and recreating in the outdoors to new heights I didn’t think were possible. Under the masterful instruction of Terry Peterson and Dave Erbe I was able to hone both my hard skills as well as my soft skills. Not only did this program help me grow as a professional, it helped me grow as a person. After graduating I plan to pursue a degree in Parks and Recreation at SUNY Brockport in hopes to become a park ranger.”
