Lynne Fitzgerald is an Assistant Professor and the Program Coordinator for the Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree at Montana State University Billings. Lynne teaches a variety of courses in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, including Outdoor Living Skills, Techniques of Guiding and Instructing, Leave No Trace, and Fundamentals of Backcountry Travel. As program coordinator, Lynne is responsible for hiring and evaluating part-time instructors, scheduling course outings, budget administration, marketing and promoting the program, recruiting new students, curriculum evaluation and development and managing the equipment inventory.  Her research interests in outdoor adventure include gender issues, leadership, experiential learning, and the aging outdoor recreationalist. Lynne has been awarded three Faculty Excellence Awards since starting at MSUB in 2011.  

Lynne is an avid adventurer. Her hobbies include backpacking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing and biking.
